The 2017 New Orleans Wine & Food Experience, Grand Tasting at Mardi Gras World

Memorial Day weekend kicked off the 25th annual New Orleans Wine & Food Experience (NOWFE) here in the city which consisted of wine tastings, wine dinners, wine seminars and more. This event is always a good time for a good cause. Proceeds from NOWFE supports the culinary arts giving over $1 million dollars to local charities. The 2017 beneficiary was the Nunez Community College Culinary Arts Program.

We’ve attended the New Orleans Wine & Food Experience since 2014 and it gets better every year and this year was no exception (see our time at NOWFE 2014 HERE and HERE, also when we went in 2015 and 2016). We attended the Royal Street Stroll in the French Quarter (we LOVE this event) and the Grand Tasting which was moved from the New Orleans Convention Center over to Mardi Gras World, which, FABULOUS venue for this event by the way (bravo NOWFE organizers!) Riverfront views, white tents, and two levels of wine, food and music in the adjacent ballroom made for a festive and eventful evening, and it was all about eating and drinking for a good cause.
